Round table: Exceptions and limitations to copyright in the digital environment

The roundtable took place on March 3, 2008, organised by the State Department for Intellectual Property of Ukraine, International Renaissance Foundation, Information Program of Open Society Institute, Association "Informatio - Consortium" and eIFL.net.

Exceptions and limitations to copyright provide balance between the interests of the right holders and society. Luis Villarroel Villalon, Advisor on Intellectual Property, Ministry of Education, Chile gave a presentation “Exceptions and limitations to copyright in the digital Environment”, Oleksiy Stolyarenko, State department for Intellectual Property presented Exceptions and limitations to copyright in the law of Ukraine “On the Authors rights and related rights” and in the act of Ukraine “On introducing changes to the laws on copyright and related rights”.
