Part of the 2009 - 2010 project is arranging the opportunity for  Southern African Greenstone Support Network National Centre representatives

• to meet and discuss their experiences as National Centres: facilitating training, giving support and generally speaking: Greenstone digital collection building in their country
• to participate in advanced workshops and broaden their Centre's expertise
  
• to meet as Steering Committee and discuss and plan the future of the Support Network as such: PR, finances, cooperation between countries and between the Network and other organisations   
  

July 2009 these goals were met by combining three days of workshop participation with one day of meetings in Durban, South Africa. DISA (Digital Innovation South Africa) hosted the event.

July 21-23 National Centre representatives attended the DISA organised workshop "Digital Resource Management: From Data to Knowledge [an overview of
managing the digital cycle]".

July 24th the 2009 one-day DISA hosted National Centre and Steering Committee meeting took place - agenda and country reports are available from this page.
