  • 4-7 August 2009, Mzuzu, Malawi: the Malawi Library and Information Consortium (MALICO) organised a 4-day workshop on the installation and use of Debian GNU/Linux servers, a FOSS server operating system that functions as the installation base for the Koha integrated library system (ILS) as well as other key library services.   • 13-17 July 2009, Bamako, Mali: the Consortium Malien des Bibliothèques (COMBI), in conjunction with the Association Malienne des Utilisateurs des Logiciels Libres (AMULL) and the Reseau Malien de Documentation (REMADOC), organised a 5-day workshop on the installation and use of PMB, a FOSS integrated library system that utilises the PHP scripting language, an Apache web server, and a MySQL database.
