CENS - Centre d'Edition Numérique Scientifiquehttp://www.cens.cnrs.fr/The Center of numerical scientific edition, created on the initiative of department SHS of CNRS and inaugurated in Lyon on last 18 February, was set up to help the French publications in social sciences to go digital and to thus ensure a better visibility to them. The center operates with three leading teams, based in Lyon, Paris and Nancy (at INIST). Comment: CENS is just starting. At least 200 journals will be concerned, probably with different economic models. The Centre of Numerical Scientific Publishing (CENS, in French) is part of the French National Centre of Scientific Research (CNRS, in French) and strives to make French scientific and scholarly journal publications more visible electronically. It has recently launched the initiative Revue en ligne (Journals onlinee) to place old issues of French journals on the web for free with the consent of the publisher. So far 8 journals are represented, covering both Humanities and Sciences. Visit the site at edition.cens.cnrs.fr/revue
