http://repec.org/ RePEC (Research Papers in Economics) is a collaborative effort of hundreds of volunteers in 63 countries to enhance the dissemination of research in economics. The heart of the project is a decentralized database of working papers, journal articles and software components.
All RePEc information is freely available from web-based RePEc services such as:

As of mid 2008 the RePEc database holds over 600,000 items of interest, over 492,000 of which are available online.
