BioOne is an XML-based aggregation of high-impact bioscience research journals featuring timely content on a wide-array of today’s most pressing topics, including global warming, stem cell research, and ecological and biodiversity conservation.

The new platform allows for easy navigation to content both within and outside the BioOne aggregation, as well as researcher-designed toolbars with valuable title, article, and reference-linking tools.

BioOne is a not-for-profit organization founded by a partnership of SPARC, the American Institute of Biological Sciences, the Greater Western Library Alliance, the University of Kansas, and Allen Press.

Subject coverage: Biological, ecological, and environmental sciences

Key features:

  • Access to 160 high-impact research journals from 123 publishers.
  • All journals include at least two years of backfiles, with many available back to 2000.
  • At present, 70% of BioOne titles are ISI-ranked, and almost half are available in electronic format exclusively on BioOne.
