Call for Proposals for Public Libraries

Do you have great, innovative ideas but don’t have the funding to make it happen? Would you want to be part of an international movement to make libraries innovative resources that meet community needs? Then you need to learn more about the Public Library Innovation Program (PLIP). PLIP fosters the development of innovative services to improve people’s lives through the use of technology. This three-year grant program will help public libraries in developing and transitioning countries become centers of community life.

Round 1 Call for Proposals is now open. 10 grants of up to $30,000 USD each will be awarded. The deadline for applications is February 28, 2010. Grants will be awarded in April 2010.
