Matseliso (Tseli) Moshoeshoe-Chadzingwa, National University of Lesotho, and EIFL Advisory Board member, will speak on EIFL's behalf at the preconference workshop Promoting Innovation Development and Diffusion in Africa through Open Access Publishing, CODIST-II. The second session of the Committee on Development Information Science and Technology (CODIST-II), the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) established by the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, will take place on 2 - 5 May 2011, at the United Nations Conference Centre(UNCC), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The overall theme of CODIST II "Innovation for Industrial Development in Africa" is aimed at exploring the extent to which African countries have harnessed the power of innovation to enhance industrial development on the continent and the extent to which industrial development has been linked to the countries innovation systems. Policy makers are expected to understand the significance of STI policy and strategies in enhancing industrial development. See more information about the meeting here.
