Kampala meeting: advocating for innovative public library services in Uganda

Innovative services and advocacy activities will be discussed at the meeting in Kampala

Members of Uganda Awareness Raising group - library leaders, librarians, and representatives of media – together with  grantees of EIFL’s Public Library Innovation Programme (PLIP) from Uganda will meet in Kampala to share their  knowledge, experience and  information about innovative library services to contribute to community development. Moreover there will be discussions about importance of Advocacy and Awareness Raising activities to raise the profile of public libraries and the innovative ways in which they use information and communication technology (ICT).

At the threw-day meeting, which is hosted by EIFL’s Public Library Innovation Programme (PLIP), the participants will improve communication knowledge and skills, will strengthen internal cooperation and communication, will deepen understanding of the useful linkage of the impact and advocacy. The meeting will include advocacy and communication training, led by an international trainer.
