Lubuto presentation at ALA conference

Lubuto Library Project President Jane Kinney Meyers will present the work of the Lubuto Library Project at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in June of 2011 in New Orleans, Louisiana (USA). The paper is based on a project supported by EIFL-PLIP in which the Lubuto Library Project has created early reading programmes that promote literacy in a child's mother tongue. The paper is titled Lubuto's Zambian Language Literacy Projects - Creating Computer-based Tools to Teach Reading in Zambian Languages and is scheduled for the International Paper Session on June 25. In addition, Lubuto will be featured at a poster session, on June 26 from 11am-12.30pm.
