Open Access Week 2011 in Egypt

Mandy A. Taha, Senior Librarian and Project coordinator at the Library of Alexandria, and EIFL Open Access coordinator in Egypt (2008-2010) will organize two seminars:

Open Access - an Alternative Perspective of Scholarly Communication on October 23 at the University of Alexandria. The seminar will discuss the benefits of Open Access for scholars and researchers in Egyptian universities. Details available here.

Open Access to Scholarly Communication What is it? Do we really need it? on October 30 at the Library of Alexandria, Main Conference Hall. The seminar will provide a brief introduction to open access and will try to answer the following questions: What is Open Access? What is not Open Access? What is Gold and Green Open Access?
