Event Date: 17 May 2016 - 19 May 2016
Amsterdam, Netherlands

The PASTEUR4OA project final conference: Green Light for Open Access: Aligning Europe’s Open Access Policies comes at a time of high interest in open access (OA) and growing recognition of the many benefits of OA, which include more equal access to information, increased visibility for authors and an accelerated pace of research and discovery.

The PASTEUR4OA project has been working to develop and reinforce OA strategies across Europe, to engage policymakers and to establish a network (Knowledge Net) aimed at promoting OA policy alignment across multiple countries in Europe.

The lively conference programme presents an opportunity to discuss the OA landscape and the achievements of the PASTEUR4OA project. Participants will include funders, research institutions and policy makers from across Europe.

The conference is free to attend for anyone interested in OA. Please register via the conference Eventbrite page.

EIFL OA Programme Manager Iryna Kuchma and EIFL OA Programme Coordinator Gwen Franck will attend the conference on 17-18 May and the PASTEUR4OA project meeting on 19 May. Kuchma will moderate a conference session titled Current Activity in Developing Open Access Policies.

The conference coincides with the Dutch Presidency of the European Union. OA has been named as a priority during the Dutch Presidency.
