Roundtable on Libraries and Copyright

On World Book and Copyright Day, the Kyrgyzstan Library and Information Consortium (KLIC) and the Association of Electronic Libraries of Kyrgyzstan in partnership with the State Intellectual Property Service of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) is conducting a roundtable on "Libraries and Copyright".

The purpose of the roundtable is to discuss copyright issues for university and public libraries, as well as consideration of new amendments to the copyright legislation of Kyrgyzstan.

Safia Rafikova, EIFL-IP coordinator for Kyrgyzstan will be a co-moderator. Specialists from Kyrgyzpatent will participate in the discussion, and directors of university and public libraries from the Bishkek and Chui regions of Kyrgyzstan will attend.
