Centrum Cyfrowe and Library of Gdańsk University of Technology will host a FOSTER co-funded workshop — training the trainers session for librarians — on open access (OA) and Open Science.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • What is OA? Definitions and types of OA.
  • OA publishing models. Green and Gold OA. Benefits of publishing in OA for librarians and researchers.
  • OA journals and OA repositories (disciplines and institutional) in Poland and in the world.
  • Creative Commons licences and elements of copyright.
  • Open Educational Resources.

BACKGROUND

EIFL is a partner in FOSTER, a European Commission funded project that aims to support different stakeholders, especially young researchers, in practicing OA, open data sharing and open science.
