WordPress webinar from EIFL-FOSS

WordPress logoWe are pleased to announce the next EIFL FOSS webinar.  It will focus on WordPress, the flexible blogging tool and Content Management System. 

WordPress has a rich plugin architecture (to date over 18,000 plugins have been developed), enabling each library or even consortium to use it in ways unique to their own needs.  

The webinar will cover such topics as:

  • What is WordPress? Who uses WordPress? Why WordPress?
  • WordPress Varieties and WordPress in Libraries
  • Installing and customising Settings and Themes
  • Exploiting Plugins
  • Case study of deployment in over 150 libraries in one region

Guest speakers for the session will be:

  • Nicole Engard, Bywater Solutions and author of "Library Mashups: Exploring New Ways to Deliver Library Data"
  • Liz Rea, Northeast Kansas Library System

Date: Monday 18th June
