Travel Information

Getting to Lund by Plane: Via Copenhagen Airport  (CPH) in Kastrup, Denmark is the best way to reach Lund.

You land at the Copenhagen Airport in Denmark, then take the train (approx 45 minutes) to Lund, Sweden, crossing the Öresund-bridge (that is, crossing the Sound) that connects Denmark and Sweden.

 Train from Denmark to Lund: Please take the train from  Copenhagen Airport (CPH/Kastrup) that goes in the direction of Gothenberg (Goteburg C) .  Most of the trains stop at  Lund C (central train station) where you have to get off.  (Note: Please make sure you get a train that stops in Lund C, otherwise you will have to change in Malmo).

Train Tickets + Bus Ticket:

In the Copenhagen Airport, you can purchase your train ticket to Lund C either using your credit card or changing money into Danish or Swedish Krona. The cost for a one-way ticket to Lund C is 137 Swedish Krona or  98 Danish Krona (approx 14 EURO or 18 USD). We recommend that you change money into Swedish Krona (SEK) since you will be continuing onto Sweden. Tickets are available from the DSB ticket office above the railway station in Terminal 3 (train info). You must buy the ticket before entering the train or else you will pay an extra fee of 100 SEK.

You will take a Lund city bus to your hotel. Show your train ticket on the bus; you do not need to buy a bus ticket.

Take Bus Number 1 to the Sparta Hotell. The bus stop name is Sparta.

For participants who are also attending the IFLA Conference

Via Gothenburg Airport (GOT/Landvetter) (250 kms north of Lund). There are regular trains between Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish) and Lund.
