Drupal is a FOSS content management system (CMS) and framework, written in PHP. It is used as the back-end for many websites around the world, including many libraries, and the main EIFL website. The standard release (Drupal core) contains features such as user account management, menu management, RSS feeds, page layout customisation and system administration. Other modules and versions are avilable to perform additional functions. It is cross-platform and available in over 60 languages.
On 25th April 2012 EIFL FOSS hosted a webinar on Drupal 7 and Modules. The webinar was delivered by Robin Isard, eServices Librarian at Algoma University in Canada. Drupal Modules extend and customize the core Drupal functionality to enable users to achieve exactly what they need to do with Drupal.
