Elektroniczny Biuletyn Informacyjny Bibliotekarzy (EBIB) is organizing the Second Open Access Conference in Poland on December 7-9, following the first one coorganised by eIFL last year. The EBIB Open Access Conference will bring together senior representatives from the research and university communities in Poland as well as Open Access advocates internationally to discuss OA policies in Europe, technical and practical considerations in the setup of institutional repositories,open archives, the impact of open access journals in the publishing industry and legal related matters. Jan Andrzej Nikish, eIFL country coordinator for Poland and eIFL Advisory Board member, is on the Organizing Committee. Top speakers from SPARC Europe, DOAR, Creative Commons and University of Padova will be amongst the participants, and a few Polish Universities will share their Open Access related initiatives.
