EIFL voices concern over proposed Africa IP Forum

EIFL joins NGOs across the globe in voicing strong concern about the proposed Africa IP Forum due to take place in South Africa in April 2012. Led by the U.S. Department of Commerce and billed as the "first-of-its kind ministerial level Forum", civil society organisations are alarmed and dismayed at the programme that focuses on enforcement and protections, the absence of any discussion on access to knowledge or medicines, and a complete lack of a development dimension in any of the sessions.
