On October 28, EIFL-OA hosted a conversation about open access at the University of Glasgow for the institutions considering open access policies and planning to embed their repositories within institutional processes and demonstrate their values for faculty members and students.
William J Nixon, Enlighten Service Development Manager, talked about their open access policy (University of Glasgow Publications Policy) and advocacy through embedding; that is, integrating repository and research management system. His presentation was a part of the international workshop "The significance of institutional repositories in research development and availability of scientific information" hosted by the University of Latvia Library coinciding with Open Access Week 2011.
