Over-60s flock to yoga – thanks to the library

More than 70 over-60s have signed up for yoga classes organized by Kaunas County Library following an introductory yoga lecture and demonstration in the library hall.

The new classes, which are part of the library’s BiblioHealth service, will take place at four venues in different parts of Kaunas. The BiblioHealth service promotes healthy lifestyles among the over-60s, combining information and communication technology (ICT) training to help the over-60s find health information online with classes in healthy activities like yoga and relaxation.

More than 80 people attended the introductory lecture and demonstration, ‘Stay Young with Yoga’ which was presented by the president of the Yoga Association of Lithuania, Mr Vytis Zabulėnas.
