**Keen to increase awareness and usage of your e-journal collections?*
*Interested in finding out more about a free open source link resolver?*
If so, why not participate in the *EIFL-FOSS/EIFL-Licensing free online
session on CUFTS* on *MONDAY 21ST MARCH* from *13.00 GMT*?
*What is CUFTS?*
CUFTS is an open source serials management system that has been widely
adopted by academic institutions to facilitate access to e-journals.
It provides a free knowledge base containing information about 575 full-text
collections, a searchable A-Z database of databases, an A-Z
journal database, MARC records for each title, direct to article OpenURL
link resolving, and electronic resource management (ERM) tools.
*What will the session cover?*
The session will provide an introduction to CUFTS, how it can increase
discoverability and usage of e-journals, and how it can be implemented.
Guest speakers will include...
-
Kevin Stranack, the librarian who developed CUFTS as part of the
reSearcher suite of library tools
-
Art Rhyno, Systems Librarian at the University of Windsor, Canada
We will also hear about the experiences of EIFL FOSS Coordinator for Russia
Andrey Sokolov in implementing CUFTS in the Scientific Library of St.
Petersburg State University.
Participants will be encouraged to share their experience of CUFTS
implementation, and there will be lots of opportunities to contribute to the
session, either by voice or by using the text chat facility.
There will also be plenty of time for questions and answers.
*When will the session take place?*
Online, on Monday 21st March from 13.00 GMT.
*How to register*
To register your interest in attending the workshop, please email
simon.ball at eifl.net as soon as possible stating your name, email address,
