At Africa University the choice is made to make the Greenstone
homepage a Digital Library opening page more generally: it offers the different other services and pointers to physical collections just as well but also advertises and gives access to all the digital collections. Foremost those that were digitised and then made search- and browsable with Greenstone.
Clicking one of the visuals opens the Greenstone page for either the Archives, Articles, Dissertations. E-books, E-Journals or Past Exam Papers digital collection.
These further pages can be looked at here.
Access is given to Africa University students and staff as well as to United Methodist Church researchers.
The library at Midlands State University started with past examiniation
papers for their students.
When also the last of these exam papers are collected, digitised and made accessible in Greenstone, new collections will be started on: undergraduate abstracts and scholarly localy produced papers and articles.
The scholarly material will need a decision on access policy and intended audience.
