In this issue, we take pleasure in sharing our annual report. We welcome a new leader at WIPO, and discuss lessons and learning for copyright in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. By invitation, we have joined the Open Science Partnership and contributed to the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science. Participants in our Initiative for Young African Innovators reflect on their international learning experience in Nashville, USA, and we share a webinar in which you can learn about recent developments in the Plan S initiative for open access publishing. COVID-19 has closed down in-person events - but we’ve been as busy as ever, organizing and hosting webinars and online meetings, and giving virtual presentations. Read all about our past and future events here.
