EIFL in North Macedonia

EIFL has been working in North Macedonia since 1999. We supported the creation of the Macedonian e-Libraries (MEL),  and through this partnership libraries are providing access to a wide range of scholarly e-resources. EIFL agreements with publishers also allow authors in North Macedonia to publish in open access in hybrid or fully open access journals at waived or discounted Article Processing Charges (APCs).

EIFL has provided training and a support service to raise awareness of library copyright issues, and to assist with copyright questions.

EIFL’s engagement with public libraries has resulted in innovative pilot projects that are helping libraries meet the information needs of their communities.
