The Marrakesh Treaty for persons with print disabilities was adopted by WIPO member states on 27 June 2013. To mark the 10th anniversary of this landmark treaty, Teresa Hackett, EIFL Copyright and Libraries Programme Manager, will participate in a webinar organized by the IFLA section on Libraries Serving Persons with Print Disabilities (LPD).

  • Date and time: June 27, 2023; 3pm - 5pm CEST
  • Registration: The programme and registration information will be available soon.

The purpose of the webinar is to celebrate the accomplishments of the Marrakesh Treaty, discuss the challenges and needs that still lie ahead with regard to its ratification and implementation by countries, and its take-up by libraries. The event features the experiences of those who were closely involved in the treaty from its early days, and they will share their stories of the treaty over the past decade.
