Chris Armstrong from the African Journal of Information and Communication (AJIC) will talk about an audit of expertise on the AJIC Editorial Advisory Board in relation to the subject-matter areas most frequently covered in submissions in the past two years. Mebratu Mulatu from Hawassa University will talk about an expert audit of the quality of five journals published by the university, and use of the results of the audit to develop a corrective plan and procedures for regular quality audits of the journals: Hawassa University Journal of Law, Journal of Science and Development, East African Journal of Biophysical and Computational Science, ETIOINQUIRY Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Journal of Forestry and Natural Resources.
