IYALI – the Initiative for Young African Library Innovators – provides knowledge-sharing, professional networking and international learning experiences for young African public librarians. By connecting young African public librarians with their peers inside and outside Africa, IYALI creates opportunities form them to expand their professional horizons, explore new ideas and see their own work and achievements in a new and different light.

This poster presents 15 inspiring public library professionals, from Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, selected take part in the IYALI programme in 2018, and showcases new services offered by their libraries.

IYALI is a partnership between EIFL, the African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA). The poster was presented at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2018 in Malaysia.
