Two-page case study describing results of Berd Public Library's innovative ‘Harnessing ICT for Improved Farming Practices’ service, which increased interest in organic farming in Berd and five surrounding villages, and created new online sales opportunities for organic farm produce. In less than a year (2011/12) the library trained a team of eight librarians to support farmers’ information searches and trained 150 farmers to use ICT.

The service was initiated with support from the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) in November 2011. The case study is based on impact assessment conducted by the library in November 2012.
