This service helps break the silence about adolescent sexual health where cultural barriers prevent many parents from speaking openly to their children about sex and sexuality. Working through the National Central Library in Dar es Salaam, and in partnership with the non-governmental organization, Femina HIP, TLSB provides teenagers with access to internet resources, ICT skills training, and organizes lectures by experts in adolescent sexual health. In less than a year (2012/13), the service reached 104 teenagers in three schools.

The service was initiated with support from the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme in 2012. This two-page case study is based on impact assessment conducted by the library in 2013.
