Public librarians in Africa are invited to a Virtual Learning Circle to learn to use social media to promote library training.

The Virtual Learning Circle will be led by Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL Public Library Programme (EIFL-PLIP) Impact Manager. The learning is based on a short educational video. ‘Promoting your library's training programmes on social media’, and will include practical exercises, drafting posts for different social media platforms, and a discussion.

A series of Virtual Learning Circles are planned for 2026 as joint events by EIFL EIFL-PLIP and AfLIA (African Library and Information Associations and Institutions) Public & Community Library Section. 

The first Virtual Learning Circle was focused on community needs assessment.
