Case study showing how, despite their limited access to digital devices and internet connections, public libraries in Ghana successfully incorporated misinformation and AI literacy into their digital and information literacy training programmes for high school students. The case study, by Ramune Petuchovaite, Manager of the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP), and Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL-PLIP Impact Manager, draws on the experience of the ‘Digital Learning @ Ghana Public Libraries’ project implemented by EIFL and the Ghana Library Authority from 2023 - 2026.
Petuchovaite presented the case study during a satellite meeting of the 2026 International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) World Library and Information Congress (WLIC). The satellite meeting was organized by the IFLA Information Literacy Section.
