Presentation (in PowerPoint) for public librarians offering online safety training for children and teenagers in their communities. The presentation was compiled by Ugne Lipeikaite, EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme Impact Manager, and is based on the eSafetykids guide

The presentation starts with an energizer (quizzes in different formats are proposed), and topics covered include protecting one’s  personal information, staying away from cyberbullies, avoiding online scams, respecting the privacy of others and what to do if you encounter harm online. Notes for trainers are offered under the slides.

In all, there are 16 slides for trainers to use in training situations, and the training should take approximately one hour. To further assist public library trainers, additional resources (online courses, toolkits, storybooks and educational games) on online safety are listed in the final two slides.
