Caezaria Public Library in Uganda. The Africa Data Project will gather data about the presence, use, services and resources of public and community libraries in Africa.

EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme Impact Manager Ugne Lipeikaite will take part in a planning meeting of the Africa Data Project.

The project will gather data about the presence, use, services and resources of public and community libraries in Africa. It will also establish what additional data is needed, and develop research methods for sustainable and ongoing data collection about public and community libraries in Africa.

EIFL has been invited to take part by the African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AfLIA) and the Technology & Social Change Group at the University of Washington Information School (TASCHA), who are implementing the Africa Data Project.
